Venetian Castle of Naoussa
Connected to the charming whitewashed harbour of Naoussa by an impressive chained sea wall, the ruins of Naoussa's Venetian Castle are, effectively, a single turret, surrounded by further fortified walls which have, partially or completely, collapsed into the gentle waters of the harbour. This characteristic turret gives distinction to the subtle outlines of Naoussa Harbour, which has the largest fishing fleet of the Cyclades, and once had the distinction of being the base of the Russian Crimean fleet.
