Hikes & Walks
Paros & Antiparos
Walking and hiking enthusiasts can get a completely different perspective on Paros, by following any one of a number of footpaths through the picturesque Parian landscape. A lot of these walks were originally donkey paths, used by farmers to transport supplies from the main town before the advent of tarmacadamed roads. Many are still so in the more vertiginous or inaccessible areas. An added charm is that in spring these paths are literally littered with wild herbs, sage, and oregano, and a plethora of seasonal wild flowers. In the summer the air is heady with the scent of these plants and herbs, while the glint of sunlight off the surface of sea seems to be eternally round the corner. Follow one of the recommended routes depending on your fitness and stamina
